Find out more about the latest figures and findings from the Drug Information Center (DIZ) Zurich. Experts from abroad will also shed light on the topic of synthetic opioids

The event will take place on June 6 from 1:30 to 5 pm. The event is free of charge and is aimed at professionals and other interested parties.

Part 1 - Figures and findings from the DIZ

What trends and developments are there on the local drug market? What patterns of use and problems do recreational drug users have? How has the purchasing behavior of consumers changed in recent years? Employees of the DIZ Zurich drug information center present current figures and findings from 2023 from drug checking and other DIZ services

Part 2 - Focus on synthetic opioids

Synthetic opioids such as fentanyl are on the rise globally. With the ban on opium cultivation in Afghanistan and the increase in the production of highly potent synthetic opioids, the risk of synthetic opioids establishing themselves on the drug market in Zurich is increasing. Together with international experts, the DIZ sheds light on developments, challenges and possible solutions in dealing with this phenomenon.
