Late summer and fall are particularly suitable for picking mushrooms in nature. Regardless of whether you have found edible mushrooms or supposedly psychoactive mushrooms, it is worth having your find checked. Mushrooms can look very similar, and a mix-up can have fatal consequences. Fortunately, Switzerland has a dense network of mushroom checkpoints. You can find the nearest mushroom checkpoint here.
Depending on the control point, psychoactive magic mushrooms can also be taken back against a signature. To be on the safe side, call your control point beforehand to find out how they handle psychoactive mushrooms. Drug checking can then be used to determine the psilocybin and psilocin content for dosing. However, drug checking cannot replace the control center as a safeguard against toxic ingredients!
If you are in a critical condition after consuming collected mushrooms (both psychoactive and edible mushrooms), call Tox emergency number 145 or ambulance number 144. If you collect mushrooms yourself, keep one mushroom so that in the event of poisoning it can be determined which species it is.
