Risk assessment

A sample sold as amphetamine did not contain amphetamine, but 1-phenylethylamine and caffeine.

1-Phenylethylamine belongs to the benzylamines and, in contrast to amphetamine, has no psychoactive effect based on the current assessment. However, it was found in experiments that 1-phenylethylamine inhibits the conversion of noradrenaline into adrenaline. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that 1-phenylethylamine could enhance the effects of amphetamine. 1-Phenylethylamine can be used for the synthesis of amphetamine. Completely unknown are the toxicity and long-term effects of 1-phenylethylamine.

With powders and crystals, false declarations occur time and again; it is therefore essential to have these substances tested!

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
