Risk assessment

This felt sold as LSD in the Zurich area does not contain LSD, but the hallucinogenic amphetamine derivative DOC (2,5-dimethoxy-4-chloroamphetamine).

DOC (2,5-dimethoxy-4-chloroamphetamine) is a psychedelic substance from the amphetamine group. DOC has stimulating properties with intensified perception, strong visual effects and euphoria. DOC is frequently misleadingly sold as LSD.

Due to the late onset of action compared to LSD, there is a risk of overdosing and thus unintentionally taking a high dose of DOC. The very long duration of action of up to 24 hours can also lead to mental overload/stress. At high doses, cardiovascular problems, muscle cramps, confusion, anxiety and even psychosis are possible.

Numerous physical complications associated with the use of DOC have been reported in the medical literature. DOC is also suspected to be associated with some deaths. There is hardly any information available on the risks, toxicity, side effects and long-term consequences of DOC. Scientific studies investigating DOC in humans are completely unknown. Consumption is not recommended.

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, test a quarter or a third of the felt at the most, as felts are in circulation in very different dosages.

Setting

Pay attention to set and setting. Consume only in places where you feel comfortable and avoid mixed use.

Wait and see

Wait 3 hours after ingestion, as there are always felts with unexpected active ingredients in circulation, which can have a later onset of action.
