Lidocaine sold as 3-MMC
Risk assessment
This sample, sold as 3-MMC , did not contain 3-MMC, but lidocaine.
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic and is found as a drug in tablets, powders, sprays and ointments. Lidocaine is also used as an extender for cocaine due to its anaesthetic effect.
If lidocaine is consumed intravenously, this can lead to an AV block and thus to a slowed heartbeat (bradycardia, bradyarrhythmia). In extreme cases, the ventricles may stop completely, which is life-threatening without medical treatment.
The risk of overdose is lower with other forms of consumption. However, the following side effects may occur even at doses typical for 3-MMC: Central nervous system effects (such as agitation, seizures, etc.), cardiac effects (arrhythmia), drop in blood pressure and allergic reactions. The risk of an overdose is also increased if a subsequent dose is taken due to the lack of a stimulating effect.
With powders and crystals, false declarations occur time and again; therefore, be sure to have these substances tested!

Testing
If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.
Wait and see
Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.
Utensils
Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
