Quick info
2C-B and other 2C substances (e.g. 2C-I, 2C-E, 2C-C) are synthetically produced mescaline derivatives and belong to the group of psychedelics. They are often counted among the new psychoactive substances and are largely unexplored. 2C-B is the best-known offshoot of the substance series and was already sold in the 1990s as "Nexus" or "Erox".
A drive-increasing effect sets in. Perceptions and feelings become more intense, the body temperature and pulse rate are increased. From 10-15 mg 2C-B or 2C-I (snorted already from 7 mg) the effect usually gets a hallucinogenic character. The boundaries between inside and outside can dissolve. Moving colored patterns and luminous fields around objects and persons are often perceived. However, the intoxication is perceived as less profound than with LSD.
Other 2C-x derivatives act in a similar spectrum, but some are many times more potent and hallucinogenic. It is therefore necessary to inform yourself about the substance, dosage and effect before consumption.
Swallowed: 5 to max. 45 mg
Snorted: 2 to max. 15 mg
2C-x derivatives have an effect even in small amounts; even 2 mg more or less can make a big difference in the experienced effect; a gradual approach to the individual dose is recommended. Dosages above 35 mg of 2C-B or 2C-I orally can be experienced as unpleasantly strong even by experienced users.
Onset of action
Swallowed: after 30-60 minutes
Snuffed: after approx.5-10 minutes
Duration of action:
2C-B: approx. 4-8 hours
2C-I: approx. 6-10 hours
The pupils dilate, blood pressure rises and nausea, sweating and dizziness may occur. Some users report stomach and intestinal problems, and mild allergic reactions (such as coughing due to increased mucus production) may occur. Disorientation, confusion and feelings of anxiety, even fear of death, are risks on a psychological level.
Long-term risks:
There are no research results on long-term risks so far.
2C-x derivatives have a very setting-dependent effect and are only suitable for parties to a limited extent. Therefore, only consume well prepared in a stress-free environment in which you feel comfortable. Preferably with experienced friends you trust.
Follow the safer-sniffing rules when sniffing. Attention, 2C-B can burn painfully in the nose!
Consume only when you feel in good mental and physical condition (favorable set).
You should not be afraid, but have enough respect for the effect.
Dose low. Don't throw it if it doesn't have the same effect!
In delicate moments during the trip: let yourself go, try not to fight the effect. A trip sitter can help you.
In case of panic attacks or horror trips: see General Information under Emergency.
Dextrose can help against circulatory problems.
Avoid roads and other "dangerous" places, your orientation may be impaired.
Psychedelic trips should remain exceptional experiences and should definitely not be experienced more than once a month.
After the trip, allow yourself plenty of rest and recovery, at least the day after, to be able to process the experience.
Persons with mental problems or illnesses, persons taking neuroleptics, and persons with circulatory and cardiac problems should refrain from consumption.
Do not mix 2C-B or 2C-x with alcohol or medication! Mixed use of 2C-B and ecstasy can lead to seizures.
Refrain from mixed use with lithium. There is an increased risk of psychosis and stroke.
Do not consume tramadol if you use psychedelic substances. Tramadol lowers the threshold for strokes, while psychedelic substances can trigger them in susceptible individuals.
Cannabis can have unexpected strong effects in combination with psychedelic substances, leading to anxiety, panic attacks and paranoia. Mixed use is discouraged or recommended, dosing cannabis lower than usual and taking long breaks in between.
2C-B, 2C-I and other 2C-x substances have an aphrodisiac effect, and the desire for sex may increase.
LSD analogues are substances that are chemically very similar to LSD and can have comparable effects. Some of them have been known for a long time (e.g. ALD52, ETH-LAD, AL-LAD, PRO-LAD etc.) and have been studied pharmacologically as well as psychopharmacologically, at least in part. Others are newer "creations" (e.g. the derivatives 1P-LSD,1B-LSD, 1cP-LSD, 1V-LSDetc.), for which only few or no data are available. Certain LSD analogues can (still) be legally produced, traded and consumed in some countries, which is the main reason for their distribution.
Most LSD analogues are naturally different from LSD in their effect and/or potency (e.g. ETH-LAD, AL-LAD, LSZ etc.). In contrast, the so-called 1-acylated LSD compounds (e.g. 1P-LSD, 1V-LSD, 1B-LSD, ALD-52, etc.) are presumed, on the basis of pharmacological studies, to convert into LSD in the body (they function as so-called prodrugs) and thus have a comparable psychoactive effect to LSD.
In the case of prodrugs of LSD and LSD analogues, it has not been conclusively clarified whether, in addition to their psychoactive effect, they can produce other pharmacological effects. How potent these prodrugs are compared to the resulting substance (e.g., 1P-LSD to LSD), and to what extent a delay in onset of action occurs in each case, may be substance-dependent and cannot be generalized. Therefore, it is important to approach the dose/effect carefully to avoid overdoses.
2C-B samples may contain a variety of substances that originate in the manufacturing process. They are referred to as synthesis impurities or synthesis by-products. Their presence depends on the manufacturing process, as well as on the effort made to purify the produced 2C-B at the end.
Each synthesis impurity represents an unknown health risk: the properties hazardous to health have never been scientifically studied and are therefore difficult to estimate. The more different synthesis impurities are contained in a sample, the greater the probability that an impurity with a high adverse health effect is among them. Even a small amount of such an impurity can be harmful. In addition, synthetic impurities are an indication of improper manufacturing/purification. It is also important to add that regular consumption of 2C-B with synthetic impurities poses a higher health risk than one-time consumption.
If you or someone else needs urgent help after taking drugs or alcohol, call an ambulance on 144. Tell the emergency responders everything you know.
It could save lives.
