This pill, sold as 2C-B, does not contain 2C-B, but rather caffeine and 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethyl-4-methylbenzenesulfonate.
Caffeine is a stimulant that increases alertness and concentration. High amounts can cause nervousness, restlessness, sleep problems, and rapid heartbeat.
In addition to caffeine, the substance 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethyl-4-methylbenzenesulfonate, which indicates an impure synthesis, was also detected in this pill. 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethyl-4-methylbenzenesulfonate is an intermediate product of 2C-B synthesis. No information is available on the effects, toxicity, and side effects of this substance. As it is a tosylate, additional risks such as mucosal irritation or unknown toxic effects may occur. The potential for interaction with caffeine is completely unknown.
Pills and tablets are often mislabeled; here too, it is essential to have them tested! The logo or color does not guarantee the contents. The same pill was analyzed in Basel in 2023 – it contained 12.3 mg of 2C-B.

2C-B and other 2C substances have a very setting-dependent effect and are only suitable for parties to a limited extent. Use only in places where you feel comfortable and avoid mixed use.
Dosage
2C-B is effective in small doses. Accordingly, 1 or 2 mg more or less can make a big difference. Carefully approach the right dosage.
