3-MMC sold as mephedrone

This sample sold as mephedrone (4-MMC / 4-methylmethcathinone) did not contain mephedrone, but 3-MMC (3-methylmethcathinone). 3-MMC belongs to the cathinone group of substances and is very closely related to mephedrone. The effects of the two substances are therefore comparable.
The effect of 3-MMC is mainly empathogenic (increasing empathy), entactogenic (intensifying emotions), stimulating, euphoric and aphrodisiac. 3-MMC is described by users as less euphoric and empathy-enhancing than mephedrone. This can lead to an unintentionally high dose of 3-MMC being consumed.
With 3-MMC and 4-MMC, the craving (strong desire to get high) is very pronounced and the psychological dependency potential is significantly higher than with other empathogenic substances such as MDMA or methylone. Little information is available on the risks, side effects and long-term consequences of 3-MMC.
With powders and crystalline samples, misdeclarations occur again and again; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!
