Risk assessment

This powdered sample declared to be cocaine was not cocaine, but a low-dose MDMA sample that also contained paracetamol.

MDMA, like cocaine, belongs to the group of stimulants and also has an uplifting/stimulating effect. However, as the effect of cocaine is less intense and mind-altering, the MDMA effect can cause inner restlessness, anxiety and mental overload if consumed unknowingly. Compared to cocaine, MDMA is taken in lower doses (for nasal consumption).

Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic drug and a typical diluent for cocaine. Consumed in low doses, no side effects are to be expected.

With powders and crystalline samples there are always false declarations and impurities; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
