3-CMC sold as 3-MMC
Risk assessment
One sample declared as 3-MMC did not contain 3-MMC but 3-CMC (3-chloromethcathinone, clophedrone) and at least four synthetic impurities.
3-CMC is a New Psychoactive Substance (NPS). Little information is available on the risks, side effects and long-term consequences of 3-CMC. It is assumed that 3-CMC has a high neurotoxic effect. The chemical structure is similar to 3-MMC and mephedrone (4-MMC) and is often marketed on the internet as a mephedrone substitute. Compared to 3-MMC, 3-CMC is dosed slightly lower.
Synthesis impurities indicate improper manufacturing. No reliable information is available on the risks, side effects, long-term effects and toxicity of synthetic impurities. The interaction potential of 3-CMC and iso-3-CMC is completely unknown. Therefore, one assumes an additional, unknown health risk when consuming this sample.
Due to the lack of scientific studies on 3-CMC and synthetic impurities, as well as the potentially neurotoxic effect of 3-CMC, we advise against consumption!
In the case of powders and crystalline samples, false declarations occur time and again; it is therefore also essential to have these tested before consumption!
