Risk assessment

A sample sold as ketamine did not contain ketamine, but methamphetamine.

Methampetamine belongs to the phenylethylamine group of substances and has a strong stimulating effect (psychostimulant). It increases the mental and physical drive in the human body. Unlike ketamine, methamphetamine does not have a dissociative effect (changes in the sense of space and time, dissolution of the boundaries of one's own body, etc.), but a stimulating one, triggering a feeling of increased performance, an increase in self-esteem, and an increase in body temperature.

Due to the much longer duration of action of methamphetamine (6-30h), misdeclaration of these substances can quickly lead to a psychologically overwhelming and very risky overdose with adverse health effects. There is also a risk of overdose if the typical ketamine effect is absent. Doses of 140 mg or more of methamphetamine can be fatal in an adult person.

With powders and crystalline samples, dangerous false declarations occur time and again. It is therefore essential to have powders and crystalline samples tested before consumption!

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
