Risk assessment

In this crystalline sample declared as MDMA, MDA and MDDMA were also detected.

MDA (3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine) is a synthetic amphetamine derivative; together with MDMA it is occasionally found in MDMA pills, less frequently in pure crystalline form. Compared to MDMA, MDA has a harder and stronger effect and is less "magical" than MDMA. This carries the potential risk of taking a higher dose and thus overdosing when the MDMA-typical effect is absent. MDA is both neurotoxic (brain damaging) and hepatotoxic (liver damaging).

Very little information exists about MDDMA (3,4-methylenedioxy-N,N-dimethylamphetamine). What is known is that the substance does not seem to cause any psychoactive effect up to 150 mg. When high doses (200mg) are taken, an indefinable and rather unpleasant effect sets in. MDDMA is a synthesis by-product about whose risks, toxicity and side effects there is hardly any reliable information and the use of this substance is therefore not recommended.

With powders and crystalline samples there are always false declarations and impurities; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
