Hashish with semi-synthetic cannabinoid

Risk assessment
This hashish, declared as containing THC, does not contain THC, but (±)-9β-hydroxy hexahydrocannabinol and CBD.
(±)-9β-hydroxy hexahydrocannabinol, ((±)-9β-OH-HHC for short), is related to the better-known HHC. HHC has been promoted in recent years as a legal alternative to THC products. HHC can occur naturally in small amounts in cannabis plants, but is synthesized for large-scale production. It is therefore referred to as a (semi-)synthetic cannabinoid. Semi-synthetic cannabinoids can be produced from CBD, for example, and applied to cannabis products. There are many different synthetic and semi-synthetic cannabinoids, often with unexplored effects, risks and side effects.
9β-OH-HHC is described as a metabolite (degradation product) of HHC. We have no information on effects, risks and side effects. Consumption is not recommended.

Safer Use
Testing
With newly purchased, unfamiliar cannabis products, it is advisable to test only a small amount the first time (take two or three puffs) and then wait about 15 minutes for the effect to develop. If the effect is unusual, do not continue to use the product!
Mixed use
Avoid mixed use. Mixed use with other substances (including alcohol or medications) is very risky because of the unpredictable and still unknown interactions. Avoid mixed use with MAO inhibitors, opioids or tranquilizers.
Mix well
Mix your cannabis products well before consumption (ideally use a grinder) to avoid a high concentration of possible synthetic cannabinoids on individual flower parts. Particular care should be taken with residual material that has fallen off the outer parts of the flower, as this is often likely to contain a particularly high concentration of synthetic cannabinoids.
