Risk assessment

This sample declared as ketamine does not contain ketamine, but MDMA.

MDMA is a synthetic amphetamine derivative and belongs to the group of entactogenic and empathogenic stimulants. MDMA is characterized by a pleasant body sensation, light-heartedness and an increased need for contact. In contrast to ketamine, MDMA does not belong to the group of dissociatives. The dissociative effect to be expected with ketamine does not occur with MDMA consumption, which is why there is a risk of topping up and thus consuming a high dose of MDMA. With high doses of MDMA, side effects such as "jaw grinding", eye and nerve twitching and even seizures can occur. On subsequent days, after taking high doses of MDMA, depression, poor concentration, sleep disorders and loss of appetite occur more frequently. Regular use of large quantities of MDMA is neurotoxic and increases the likelihood of irreparable brain damage.

In addition, the duration of action of MDMA is much longer than that of ketamine at 4 to 6 hours. MDMA is usually consumed orally, ketamine nasally. If MDMA is snorted, it burns strongly in the nose, unlike ketamine.

In the case of powders and crystalline samples, false declarations occur time and again; it is therefore also essential to have these tested before consumption!

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
