This sample, declared as oxycodone, does not contain oxycodone, but rather the antipsychotic quetiapine.
Quetiapine binds to certain receptors in the brain, thereby exerting an antipsychotic and mood-stabilizing effect. The dosage varies greatly depending on the application. Compared to oxycodone, it does not have an analgesic effect and is significantly less potent. For example, 50 mg of quetiapine has a calming to sleep-inducing effect, whereas 50 mg of oxycodone can already be a dangerous dose.
Medications that have been acquired illegally are often mislabeled. Therefore, it is essential to have them analyzed in a drug checking program before consumption.
