Risk assessment

A sample declared as mephedrone (4-MMC) did not contain mephedrone, but dimethylpentylone and a small amount of cocaine.

Dimethylpentylone (also known as dipentylone) is a stimulant from the cathinone group. The effects of mephedrone and dimethylpentylone are probably similar due to their chemical relationship. Users report a stimulating and euphoric effect. Side effects reported include heart palpitations, headaches, anxiety, irritability, and weakness. In addition, it must be assumed that the consumption of dimethylpentylone can trigger a strong craving for further consumption (craving). There is little reliable information on dosage, side effects, toxicity and long-term effects.

More info about dimethylpentylone on external website...

Due to the lack of scientific studies on dimethylpentylone, we advise against its consumption! The cocaine contained in such small quantities is negligible and is not perceived when consumed.

Misdeclaration of powders and crystalline samples is common, so be sure to have them tested before consumption.

Safer Use

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
