Smiley (4-AcO-DMT, psilocin and ketamine).
Risk assessment
This pill, declared as 4-AcO-DMT, contained psilocin and ketamine in addition to the expected ingredient 4-AcO-DMT.
4-AcO-DMT (4-acetoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine), also known as psilacetin or O-acetylpsilocin, is a tryptamine and belongs to the group of psychedelics. 4-AcO-DMT is structurally related to psilocin, the psychoactive ingredient in magic mushrooms. 4-AcO-DMT is a prodrug of psilocin. This means that 4-AcO-DMT is metabolized to psilocin in the body after ingestion. Users describe the effect as similar to that of psilocin.
In addition to 4-AcO-DMT, the pill contains 3.7 mg of psilocin. This amount alone triggers only a slight effect in users, if any. Since the main active ingredient of this pill 4-AcO-DMT already has a very similar spectrum of action and is metabolized to psilocin, it can be assumed that the psilocin enhances the effect of 4-AcO-DMT according to the dosage. More information about psilocin can be found here.
The additionally detected ketamine is present in such a low dosage that its oral intake most likely has no effect.
