4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-MET sold as psilocybin

Risk assessment
This plant material sold as psilocybin does not contain psilocybin, but a mixture of 4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-MET .
4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-MET belong to the group of tryptamines and are structurally related to each other and to psilocybin (or psilocin, 4-HO-DMT). In contrast to psilocybin / psilocin, however, 4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-MET do not occur naturally in fungi. This suggests that the substances were subsequently applied to the plant material.
Both substances are less well researched in relation to psilocybin / psilocin. We have no reliable data on risks, side effects and interactions.
