4-HO-MET belongs to the tryptamine group and is structurally related to psilocybin/psilocin (4-HO-DMT). Users generally describe the effect of 4-HO-MET as less profound than psilocybin, as the effect is less "top-heavy" and the visual effects are more prominent.
