Risk assessment

This sample, sold as 3-MMC, does not contain 3-MMC, but rather 2-FDCK (2-fluorodecloroketamine).

2-FDCK is related to the better-known ketamine. It is considered a new psychoactive substance (NPS) because the substance has been poorly researched and very little reliable information is available.

According to user reports, the effects of 2-FDCK are generally comparable to those of ketamine. The effects are highly dependent on the dose. In low doses, it has a disinhibiting and relaxing effect, similar to alcohol. Higher doses have an increasingly trance-like or psychedelic character. Perception of the environment and one's own body changes, and the ability to move and express oneself is restricted; this can lead to detachment from one's own body, dissolution of the ego, or feelings of merging with the environment.

This means that 2-FDCK has a completely different effect to the substance it was sold as. 3-MMC (closely related to 4-MMC/mephedrone) is a stimulating, energizing, and empathy-enhancing substance; its effects are often described as a mixture of MDMA and cocaine.

2-FDCK tends to be dosed lower than 3-MMC. This poses the risk of accidentally consuming too high a dose of 2-FDCK. Since its effects differ greatly from those of 3-MMC, this can lead to overwhelm and panic. The depressant effect poses an additional health risk—especially when mixed with other substances—as 2-FDCK is a depressant and therefore carries an increased risk when combined with other substances.

Misdeclaration of powders and crystalline samples is common, so be sure to have them tested before consumption.

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
