Risk assessment

A sample declared as 3-MMC (3-methylmethcathinone) did not contain 3-MMC, but 4-BMC (4-bromomethcathinone).

Like 3-MMC, 4-BMC is a cathinone. 4-BMC is a very unexplored substance and belongs to the group of NPS (new psychoactive substances). It is assumed that 4-BMC has stronger toxic effects than 3-MMC.

Reports from users indicate that 4-BMC has stimulating and entactogenic effects. The effects of 4-BMC are compared to amphetamine, methcathinone and MDMA.

There is hardly any information available on the effects, side effects, toxicity and long-term consequences of 4-BMC. Consumption of this substance therefore involves unknown risks. Regular use and high doses also increase the risk potential. If you nevertheless decide to consume this substance, we strongly recommend that you adhere to the safer use messages / safer use tips. Due to a lack of information and therefore risks that are difficult to assess, we advise against consumption!

With powders and crystalline samples, false declarations occur again and again; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
