Risk assessment

One as mephedrone (4-MMC) did not contain 4-MMC, but a mixture of 2-MMC and 4-MMC .

2-MMC (2-methylmethcathinone) is a rather new NPS (New Psychoactive Substance) and a cathinone of the amphetamine group. No reliable information is available on its risks, toxicity, side effects and long-term consequences. 2-MMC is often marketed on the Internet as mephedrone (4-MMC) or a 3-MMC substitute. According to user reports, the effect of 2-MMC is more comparable to 2-FA or amphetamine (performance-enhancing and stimulating), which is why many users have experienced a slightly different effect than expected. Thus, in the event of a false declaration, as in this case, there is an increased risk that a high dose of 2-MMC will be consumed unintentionally.

2-MMC and 4-MMC also differ slightly in terms of dosage, onset of action and duration of action. In mixed samples, the effect can therefore occur with a time delay ("delayed"), which can lead to additional dosing before the full effect is felt. This increases the risk of an overdose and greater physical strain, particularly on the cardiovascular system and psyche.

There is hardly any information available on the effects, side effects and long-term consequences of these substances. The consumption of these substances therefore involves unknown risks. Regular use and high doses also increase the risk potential. If you decide to use them anyway, we strongly recommend that you follow the Safer Use Messages / Safer Use Tips to adhere to. Due to a lack of information and the associated risks, which are difficult to assess, we advise against regular consumption.

With powders and crystalline samples, false declarations occur again and again; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
