Risk assessment

One sample declared as 3-MMC did not contain 3-MMC, but 4-methylethcathinone (4-MEC).

4-Methylethcathinone belongs to the group of cathinones and is often sold as a substitute for mephedrone (4-MMC) or 3-MMC. The effect of 4-MEC is described as much more unpleasant than mephedrone. However, the stimulating effect is stronger than with 3-MMC. With 4-MEC, the craving (strong desire to get high) is very pronounced and the dependency potential is described as high.

There is little information available on the risks, side effects, long-term effects and toxicity of 4-methylethcathinone. 4-MEC is a new psychoactive substance (NPS). We therefore strongly advise against its use!

In the case of powders and crystalline samples, false declarations and impurities occur again and again; it is therefore essential to have these tested in a drug check before consumption!

The following information about 4-Methylethcathinone is for guidance only and is not guaranteed. This information is based on the subjective perceptions of users.

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
