2-Oxo-PCE sold as ketamine

Risk assessment
A sample sold as ketamine did not contain ketamine but 2-oxo-PCE.
2-Oxo-PCE (also known as N-ethyldeschloroketamine, eticyclidone and O-PCE) is a dissociative anesthetic of the arylcyclohexylamine class, closely related to deschloroketamine and eticyclidine. 2-Oxo-PCE is a research chemical (New Psychoactive Substance, NPS) and is often sold online and consumed as a substitute for other, similarly acting substances such as ketamine, MXE (methoxetamine), etc.
Compared to ketamine, 2-OXO-PCE is dosed lower (3-4 times more potent than ketamine). In addition, the duration of action of 2-oxo-PCE (6-10 hours) is longer than that of ketamine (1-2 hours). Furthermore, 2-oxo-PCE has a stronger dopaminergic component than ketamine, which leads to increased stimulation, increased blood pressure and increased heart rate. This increases the cardiovascular risk, particularly in the case of pre-existing cardiovascular disease. Due to the differences mentioned, a misdeclaration of this substance can quickly lead to a psychologically overwhelming and risky overdose with harmful side effects, especially if users use ketamine-typical doses.
However, there are hardly any scientific studies on the risks, toxicity, side effects and long-term consequences of 2-oxo-PCE. We advise against consumption!
In the case of powders and crystalline samples, dangerous misdeclarations occur time and again - newly acquired substances must be tested in small quantities before use and analyzed in a drug check!

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking
Testing
If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.
Wait and see
Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.
Utensils
When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
