Risk assessment

One sample declared as cocaine did not contain cocaine but 3-CMC (3-chloromethcathinone, clophedrone).

3-CMC is a New Psychoactive Substance (NPS). There is hardly any information about risks, side effects and long-term consequences of 3-CMC. It is very likely that the sample was sold as cocaine not because of the similar effect, but because of the high financial profit (3-CMC is sometimes offered online very cheaply as MDMA or mephedrone substitute). Attention: the effect of 3-CMC is not comparable to the effect of cocaine! Snorted, a relatively small amount of 3-CMC is needed for an intense high, which increases the risk of an unpleasant overdose in case of misdeclaration.

3-CMC is believed to have a high neurotoxic effect. The chemical structure is similar to 3-MMC and mephedrone. 3-CMC is often marketed on the internet as a mephedrone substitute. Therefore, when consuming this sample, one is taking an additional, unknown health risk. Due to the lack of scientific studies on 3-CMC and the potentially neurotoxic effect of 3-CMC, we advise against consumption!

With powders and crystalline samples, false declarations occur again and again; therefore, be sure to have them tested before consumption!

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
