Cocaine sold as ketamine

Risk assessment
A sample declared as ketamine contained the stimulant alkaloid cocaine without any traces of ketamine instead of ketamine.
In contrast to ketamine, cocaine does not have a dissociative and sedative effect, but a strong stimulant and euphoric effect. There is a risk of overdose, as users may repeatedly re-dose due to the lack of dissociative effects typical of ketamine. Ketamine is usually dosed lower (nasal: approx. 20-75mg) than cocaine (nasal: 50-100mg). As the expected dissociative effect of ketamine does not materialize, there is a risk of consuming further doses. This can lead to undesirable stimulant effects with cocaine, including increased heart rate, high blood pressure, restlessness, anxiety and, with repeated subsequent doses, exhaustion and cardiovascular stress.
Cocaine is a stimulant derived from the coca plant and acts as a dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonin reuptake inhibitor. In contrast to ketamine, which as an NMDA receptor antagonist causes dissociative states, cocaine produces stimulation, euphoria and increased alertness. The duration of action of cocaine is also shorter than that of ketamine, which can increase the risk of unintentional after-consumption.
False declarations are often made for powders and crystalline samples; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking
Testing
If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.
Wait and see
Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.
Utensils
When snorting or injecting powders, always use your own equipment to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
