3-CMC sold as methamphetamine

This sample, sold as methamphetamine , did not contain methamphetamine, but 3-CMC (clophedrone, 3-chloromethcathinone) and iso-3-CMC.
3-CMC is a New Psychoactive Substance (NPS) and belongs to the synthetic cathinones of the amphetamine group. Little information is available on the risks, toxicity, side effects and long-term consequences of 3-CMC. It is assumed that 3-CMC has a high neurotoxic effect. The chemical structure is similar to 3-MMC and mephedrone (4-MMC) and is often marketed on the Internet as a mephedrone substitute. Compared to methampetamine, 3-CMC has less of a stimulant effect, is more empathogenic (increases empathy), and is usually dosed slightly higher. If additional doses are taken due to the non-methamphetamine-like effect, an overdose with health side effects can occur and quickly lead to a negative consumption experience.
Iso-3-CMC is an isomer of 3-CMC which was most likely formed during the production of 3-CMC.
Due to the lack of scientific studies on 3-CMC and iso-3-CMC as well as the potentially neurotoxic effect of 3-CMC, we advise against consumption!
False declarations also occur time and again with powders and crystalline samples; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!
